SPAIN IS OUT on penalty kicks - after VAR declined to award a fairly obvious penalty late in overtime!
If they made that reversal, I was wondering if they'd leave the camera on in the little VAR studio as it got rushed by thugs.
Well, if you can't out-penalty the opponents, when your goalies stops 2 shots, you do not deserve to win. And we didn't.
I'm sorry, I'll hang my head in shame. I forgot my manners.
May I temporarily digress from soccer to ask if anyone has caught up with international basketball?
I normally don't pay attention, but wow.

This is Russia. How can you even think that they might rig something?
For a second, I thought you were serious.
Rabio the octopus is dead!! *gasp*
Colombia - a well fought match, another penalties loss. The Brits earned it.
England v Colombia also a nail biter
Delighted that my home country, England has broken the curse of going out on penalties and after a tense game, going into 30 minutes extra time and still a 1 - 1 result, England win 4-3 on penalties!
They will now play against Sweden in the quarterfinals on Saturday
Thank you, Alex! I was late in hitting the “send” button on my PP, too many distractions from the folks celebrating back home!
