Who installs gutter heaters?

I know this came up in a thread last year, but I can't find it.

Does anyone know of/can refer someone who installs heaters in the gutters to keep them from freezing over with ice?

TIA

This is a link to one of the earlier threads on this topic:

If you scroll down the postings, you'll see that I commented on this thread and in my comment I copied a link to an earlier discussion on MOL where the name of an electrician who installs cables was mentioned.

I have been trying to open the link to the earlier discussion, but the page flashes quickly (too fast to get the name of the electrician) and automatically resets to the main MOL forum page. This may have something to do with the new platform, but I don't know how to access the earlier page. If you can figure it out, please let me know, as we'd also like to have cables installed before winter arrives. Thanks.

We had them installed about two years ago. The electrician we used was Victor Bianchi at 973-703-3542. I know a poster above thinks that an ice dam is due to losing heat from the attic. That was not the cause of our problem as we had the attic re-insulated and air flow checked when we put on a new roof. We like them so much, we are having them installed in our country home in PA when we replace the metal roof. The other plus is that they are not visible as the cable lays in the gutter and down the leader as opposed to the zig zag on the roof. My experience is that by keeping the water from freezing in the gutters and leaders it eliminated the ice dam because the melting snow had someplace to go. It does not melt the snow on the roof but as that naturally melts, it drips to the gutter and down the drain it goes. The only drawback was remembering to plug and unplug and finally just landed on leaving them plugged in until then just plugged in until most of the snow on our house had melted. An added benefit was that it stopped the icicles on the gutters from dripping on the entry way which in the past would refreeze and be a solid sheet of ice.

@Sweetsnuggles, THANK YOU!
