The Final Debate of 2020 (Hallelujiah!)

Trump may get a B- on demeaner, but he made over 30 false or misleading claims.  Do you get credit if a lie sounds good and the person critiquing the debate isn't aware that it's a lie?

Imagine some people think Trump did well in the debate because he was compelled to be civil. That is the standard by which we decide on who to vote for?

I have already voted line A straight across.

Trump handled his lies and demagoguery in a much smoother way than the first time around.  Biden was superb, except politically quite risky in talking about shutting down the oil industry over time.  While courageous and no doubt appealing to the green and youth vote, it risks significant vote loss in the oil and gas states of Texas and Pennsylvania, among others, which could tip the election, particularly in the Senate.  I hope not.

"We're getting rid of the subsidies for fossil fuels" ...subsidies prop up the smaller companies, not the larger ones, effectively that means killing off the little guys and hundreds of jobs (that should be a lock for Trump in PA)

The subsidies that are being referred to are the percentage depletion allowance and 100% deduction for intangible drilling costs that are allowed as deductions against income for tax purposes for smaller producers.

Biden led in the Pa. polls before the debate and a majority of Pa. residents opposed fracking, but Biden's comments are not going to help.

btw - I'm from western Pa. and I know how important fracking is to the residents.

Go Steelers!
