Been reading a lot of American history books during the pandemic and, I conclude, that politicians — along with all humans — are imperfect beings. Probably the Democratic habadasher, Mr. Truman, is perhaps the only occupant of the White House who might pass today’s scrutiny. Can you point to one full Trump speech/press conference where he didn't lie or give misleading under under 20 times?
1st false statement - he shouldn't have said families. Correct fact was for single adults.
2nd false statement - Trump "completely" eliminated aid. Ok, not completely eliminated. But he did reduce the aid by $250 million which could of had an impact. And he did completely suspend aid from from April to October 2019.
3rd false statement - Trump shut down bed capacity. Capacity was at 8,000 in 2015, it was less then 7,000 in 2017. It did go up - so this was an exaggeration.
4 false statement - Not really false - just based on what study your referencing.

He can try to settle or he can stonewall. Is a Judge going to hold him in contempt and issue a Warrant for his arrest in a civil suit? Remedies for non-cooperation in civil litigation are difficult.
But if he does attend a deposition or even testify at trial he will probably lie.
Edited: After posting the above I tried searching consequences of avoiding depositions as well as news about the suits. I didn't really come up with anything. We will see how it all plays out.
