I have not seen a single Trump sign this year.

Not one.

You need to get out more. ...

 er, we're in a pandemic.

Looks like 7 or 8 to me, but ONLY if the Dems (and sensible Rs) stay hungry.

Drove to the farmers’ market today in Emmaus, Pa. Saw plenty around there.

Don’t have to go that far... I was in Morris County yesterday. Trump is parading from Flemington to Bedminster today...

I had to go that far to reach a state that’s in play.

I was on 206 area by Bedminster/Gladstone yesterday - did not notice any Trump lawn signs.  I had expected a lot - was a bit surprised.

My scale is at about a 7 that Biden will win.  Hillary was unfairly hated thanks to years of conspiracy theories.  Joe only has the Hunter issue and cognitive issues which he has well laid to rest,

7.  Not 10, because I'm worried Trump might steal the election through legal challenges in swing states that tie up the results, lead to Republican state legislatures sending their own delegates to the electoral college which may be accepted; or the results not getting to the electoral college in time to be counted.  This would result throwing the election into the House of Representatives, which votes by states, which each state getting one vote.  At the moment there are more majority Republican state delegations, that would throw the election to Trump.  Any appeals to the Supreme Court, meanwhile, could favor Republicans over Democrats.  So, all in all I'm hopeful but concerned.

I got caught in a Trump caravan today in Flemington.I was stuck for about 15 notes until the cop stopped the caravan to let cars at the intersection go.

I saw about 400 cars and there were more to come after the cop allowed the caravan to proceed.

Trump signs are all over Morris and Hunterdon and Somerset counties.... also Ocean County.

I am absolutely confident that Joe Biden will be one of the two men claiming to be POTUS on Inauguration Day.

The election results will have little to do with who becomes President.

This one is popular in toms river...I wonder about these people. It’s scary.

the strangest thing to me about this election is how many people are almost certain (including Trump himself) that if the election was run fairly, and everyone who wanted to vote was able to, Biden would win handily.  The idea that Trump might still win because of a combination of voter suppression and refusal to count legitimate ballots should be THE biggest story of this election. And it should be causing serious outrage.  But instead it just seems like a given that everyone is expecting.  How did we get to the point where election tampering by one party is SOP and we just sort of collectively shrug about it?

So is our "Democratic Republic" at its end?

If so, what do you suggest?

Why is the "Rose Garden" thread the only discussion going on in this category.

Why is a scientific and philosophical discussion about stem cells in this category?

Just asking.

Scattered input and wide-ranging digressions are a feature of MOL, not a bug.

Not to be THAT guy, but I've kinda been saying this for at least 2 years.

that's the problem IMHO.  the people pointing this out don't have audiences of millions.  The people who do have audiences of thousands or millions of viewers, listeners, readers, followers aren't saying this.  At least not loud enough.

I'm certain Biden wins the popular vote, so a 10 on that.

It looks like Biden has a solid and resilient lead in Michigan and Wisconsin. Pennsylvania is tight and lots of Pennsylvanian voters screwed up their mail-in ballots. I don't know who that will favor. Maybe a wash.

Lots of states are in play that could tip it to Biden. Florida and Texas seem like long shots for him. Arizona and North Carolina look more positive. Even Georgia is in play!

If PA goes Red again its not necessarily doom for Biden/Harris. I wish they had a wider margin and I wish thousands of mail-in ballots weren't likely to be discarded. So I'm still about a 5 on the Electoral College.

Knowing how the Trump campaign is positioning itself to challenge the results of the election, I don't think I've ever felt more helpless in my life. I've voted, donated and took part in a get out the vote postcard drive. If Trump can follow through on his plan to sabotage the ballot count, I feel like none of that matters.

If Biden loses this election there's probably going to be finger pointing and squabbling among the left. But I don't think the Biden campaign could have done anything different, and I don't think any other candidate would fare any better in the face of what might happen.

Same misgivings as mrincredible, bringing me down to a very anxious 5.

Back in the summer of 2019, I predicted a Dem landslide.

I'm still going with that.

Trump needs another perfect storm to pull off a steal. He can only challenge in a state where the margin is tiny, and that state then has to be able to flip the result of the entire election.

I just hope the PA polls are solid.

I was a 6.5 - but now more like a 7.5 - this is a little encouraging:

https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2020-election-forecast/

I also will guess that Trump will claim victory on Tuesday night - but will lose when the actual numbers are finalized.  The only question is what actions Barr will take, what lawsuits Trump will pull and how many cases will get escalated to the Supreme court.

I was 7 when I responded on Sept. 29, went up to probably 8 in recent weeks, now down to 6.5. IDK, just feeling some late ill winds.

Thanks for the link. Very comprehensive.

I'm still confident with my 2.6.

now 9, but still subject to change
