Trump's Vietnam:
“I was dating lots and lots of women,” he said in 2004. “I just had a great time. They were great years, but that was pre-AIDS, and you could do things in those days that today you’re at risk doing. AIDS has changed a lot.”
“It is a dangerous world out there — it’s scary, like Vietnam,” he continued. “It is my personal Vietnam. I feel like a great and very brave soldier.”

Trump is Trump. No surprise there.
Of course conservatives still support him. Did you expect better of them? I don't.

I swing back and forth between outrage and apathy. How TF did we get here? Only answer is that this is who we are as a country.
I'm not so sure it's who we are. If it is then it is a terrible disgrace to those we mourn on Memorial Day.

Trump is the symptom, not the disease.
Every player on every team should refuse to play the first weekend of the season. See how fast the rules are changed then. I would support this type of protest.
IMO, legally the NFL can make the players stand for the anthem(or at least fine, etc if they don't) at the start of games. That being said, I think the NFL is likely to find itself in a pretty bad place if they pursue this course of action. Fans will vote with their feet..or their remotes.
m/1 agree that Trump is the "symptom" but also the "thrilling climax" of a movement most recently displayed by Tea Partiers in response to BHO. I think we'll know how bad off we are in November.
Meanwhile, ABC cancels Roseanne after her racist tweet this morning.
Symptom? More like aggravating factor, like if I have emphysema and you blow smoke at me.
He can't even honor dead vets without an "ad" for him.
