This will be a fun season. Winning is nice, but I don't expect it to continue. I want to see who we really have. Do we have the 265/40 Alonso who deserves an extension or the 217/40 Alonso? A 270 McNeil who hits fly balls to the outfield or a 320 McNeil who hits singles all over? Did we find the catcher of the future or a 207 hitter? Baty looks good, and maybe some more kids will come up.

I am going to need to confer with Train of Thought, but I think this post is suspension-worthy.

Confer with Train of Thought??? To paraphrase Butch and Sundance, WHO IS THIS GUY?!!
I'm celebrating because I was concerned an 0-7 stretch against Atlanta and Philly would bury the team before June. Of course 1-6 wouldn't be much better, so hoping for a split of the next 4.
... I feel like if I ignore them for a few days they’ll start to climb back.
I turned off yesterday's game when Otto imploded, only to miss the ensuing fireworks.
One can't win by watching or not watching.
I'm gonna keep tuning in until I see signs that they don't care as a team. McNeil is starting to look that way - just swings at first pitch and pops up or grounds out 80% of the time.
Marte too, but he kinda always does. Just so mild and passionless. Mailing it in on the field, except for throwing.
Pete is one-dimensional.
If we lose Nimmo, it'll be time to bring up some kids.
"They can’t erase their brutal May However… They’re 3 games out of playoff spot (2 in loss column) They’re about to get Alvarez & Díaz back They’re 6-4 in last 10."

To assuage our collective ego, I think it is fair to assume that it was a family decision by Counsel to stay close to home in Chicago.
The Mets swooped in on their second choice. Hopefully it’s a good one, but it is so hard to see him being better than Buck.
