In general, I have way too much ... some junky, some duplicates. But my neighbor just posted on Facebook that her college aged daughter needs stuff for first apartment, so I'm going to let her take what she wants and then probably box the rest up to take to Morrow next summer for their sale (unless I hear of a similar worthy recipient organization that can use it sooner ... anyone know of any such?)
I only cook for 1 to 2, depending on how crazy my son is about what I cooked.
Yeah, then in your case a vacuum sealer would just take up cabinet space
instead of a vacuum sealer, I found vacuum sealable bags that have a valve on them and come with a little battery powered suction device. They work pretty well.
it seems like a great invention. But apparently if you're not careful with it you can cause yourself a pretty serious hand injury. But I guess that's true of any hyper-sharp cutting tool.
I'm sure many of you will be in disbelief that it took me this long. But only in the past three or four years have I learned the value of the silicone spatula. Turns out that between the silicone spatula, oven gloves and ice trays, I've come to the conclusion that silicone is a miracle substance

yes it is. the silicone spatula is my main sauteing tool, and I've got pot holders and ice trays too. plus a cookie baking sheet.
I love yours, db, but it would put my fridge into the doorway. With the horizontal storage, i imagine you would lift the stack above the can you want, and turn the can you want toward vertical? Or is my notoriously bad geometry/visualization off?
eta again, everyone would have an opinion about his choices. Personally, i would not want to do without my cast iron deep skillet (looks like $25 or so online), microwave, and unless counter space was really tight, stand mixer....
I don't think I can. It actually looks really useful. I know I'd lose the settings on those little switches you keep having to turn 360 or 180 or whatever though.
There's one in my drawer, but I'm not sure if I've ever used it. (I think I got it at one of those kitchenware parties.)
