Central Fabrics is in East Orange and they have a huge selection of very reasonably priced fabrics. The area looks a little dicey, but the store and the employees are terrific.
There used to be one in Union by the movie theater, im not sure if it’s still there or it’s name.
Fabricland in North Plainfield. But the garment district is closer and more interesting.

That is Terminal Mills. They have excellent fabric, but I'm looking for something more along the lines of Sponge Bob Squarepants
Central Fabrics is pretty close to us, so we'll give that one a try tomorrow. Thanks!
Second mention for Fabricland on 22. Which has the advantage of being close to Gertrude Hawk chocolate store.
And on your way home from Hobby Lobby, be sure to stop and eat at Chick-Fil-A while wearing a MAGA hat!?! (Sorry. Not a fan. Would not spend 10 cents there.)
There's a great one on Springfield Ave. just over the border in Irvington, on the North side of the street, second floor of the building. Don't recall the name but google should serve you well.
I’m looking for a store that sells lower cost fabrics. Walmart in Watchung doesn’t sell fabric. Michael’s in Blue Star doesn’t carry fabric
I’m making a project at Sew Leana and I really wanted my son to be able to pick out the fabric
I’m not looking for something high end like Terminal Mills, but something more like what WalMart used to carry
