Think about the folks you love.  I know from your posts that you have young people in your life, if they step on the wrong side of the law and end up doing a couple days in the can, this could be a very real nightmare for them.
Rape is wrong.  End of story.

 Cosby isn't going to prison either.

I was thinking on this yesterday. Time for such a conviction would average around 20 years, give or take. For Cosby its a life sentence if carried out. For a person in their 20's, still most of a life to live after sentence.

Should age be considered in a prison sentence?

This is similar to the question of basing fines on the income of the offender. I believe there was a time where Princess Margaret or maybe it was Princess Ann was fined 150,000 pounds for a speeding offense.

Huh? No, I never once said prison rape was for rich celebrities. That makes no sense. People really don't know how to read, do they? 

I agree that it is a problem and terribly sad for the many it happens to. Separate thought- if Cosby were raped on the street, raped in prison, shot, stabbed, beaten to death, etc- I would not mourn for him. I would consider it karma. Do I wish it on him or anyone else? Nope. Would I care if it happened to him in particular? Nope.

Whatever sentence is applied I’m sure it will not make up for the lives affected. Also, why are Weinstein and Polanski still walking around free? Are there any current charges pending?

I haven't heard of any charges filed against Weinstein 

Even if he's indicted figure that it will take months or years to get to trial.

Weinstein's situation is under investigation by the N.Y.S. prosecutor's office.

Polanski's case is interesting. If I recall, he was offered a plea bargain. Then the prosecutor or his successor, reneged on the deal. He then jumped bail.

I do think Cosby will go to jail and die there.  Regardless of that, his wife, daughters, and grandchildren heard the jury say guilty of rape. He has destroyed his legacy.  Wherever he spends his remaining days, I hope that is forever on his mind.

 Prison rape isn't as funny as you think. A lot of the victims are folks who did nothing to deserve such a horrific punishment and the perpetrators are, by definition, all rapists.

Odd.  Somehow I got the CRAZY idea from this post that you were saying it would be just if Cosby got raped.  Don't know how that happened.......

no, not crazy THAT is exactly what I said. If it happened to him, it would be karma and I wouldn't be sad or upset.

What I did NOT say was that I think prison rape only happens to celebrities ( weird interpretation of my words). What I did NOT say was that prison rape wasn't a horrible problem for many incarcerated. What I also did NOT say is that I hoped he or anyone else was raped or murdered. When I said "I hope he dies in there"- I did not mean hoping he was killed. I meant since he's 80, I hope he gets convicted and that he takes his last breath in jail.

hopefully. He definitely deserves some jail time
