As someone who frequently clashes with terp on these boards, +1

Thanks, but nobody who knows the principles I stand for should be surprised.

Local prosecutors can change tickets to higher fine but no points ones where money does stay local.  Many people take the deal because it is no points.

Anyway looks like BLM has gotten three move scalps.  Which is its real goal.

Oh, for chrissakes.  No, it's not.  A thousand times no.

IMO, one of the roots of the issue regarding BLM is that often, poor minority or poor communities in general are similarly mistreated by the police. For some reason in this country, being poor often equates to being a thief or a murderer. We have poor white relatives in major cities. They don't get it as harsh as poor Blacks, but trust me, they get a taste. What they don't get, however, is shot and killed. If you don't come from a mixed race family, I simply can't describe to you the conversation one haves with relatives of a lighter hue asking, "Oh my god. Are you guys okay? The boys? Jesus, please be safe."

I think the ticket you are talking about, with no points, carries a $250.00 surcharge that goes directly to the State.

A bunch of ignorant right-wingers started a Whitehouse.gov petition to have Back Lives Matter declared a terrorist organization.

The White House declined with a politely-worded response, with extensive quotes from President Obama's recent statements.

Apologies to anybody reading this, who probably would have been eager to sign, but missed his chance because he didn't hear about it until now.

And even worse is that it reached 144K signatures in a matter of days... SMH!

They may not be a terrorist group but their words and message sure is an inspiration to those with an inclination to terrorist acts.

Quick solution: have cops stop profiling and killing innocent people.

So you, like BLM thinks that unfortunate, and sometimes inexcusable, incidents that occur makes killing police officers justifiable retribution.

I don't believe that BLM thinks killing police officers is justifiable.  Can you cite a reference for that?

Did you same the same whe

He doesn't have a reference.  He's just repeating what is a modern-day blood libel against African-Americans who protest against "inexcusable incidents".

My immediate reaction was the irony that the group that that best describes calls itself "Right to Life"

8 dead police officers is concrete proof that it is not a libel.

Strange concept of "concrete proof".

Where did BLM endorse those deaths?

bramzzoinks said:

They inspired them.

In the same way that Harvey inspired David Berkowitz.

Sorry, but your response is unsupported and offensive.

It's reminiscent of the time you started a thread on MOL with a completely false accusation, and never corrected it.

This was a classic: "Baltimore has reached 300 murders for the first time since 1979 all because of blm."

Zoinks can be almost reasonable at times, but when it comes to African Americans, he loses his mind.

bramzzoinks said:

What then inspired BLM?

I think the concept of equal rights for blacks must make zoinks uncomfortable. Why else would he see a movement that calls for equal rights as one calling for violence?

Looks like BLM almost got two more scalps in Brooklyn but the shooter missed.

Zzoinks really doesn't care for human beings, does he? Does anyone believe he actually cares about the lives of police officers, for instance? Clearly he only "cares" in so much as he can use them to make a political point (and a poorly made point at that).

Why has no one mentioned he who shall not be named's repeated use of the term "scalp" in the context of the racist nature of the term?

I was wondering when a leftist would go all politically correct on that term.
