Biden vs Trump

It's actually a really important distinction that Trump was prescribed the MoCA by his physician and Biden has not been.

I, for one, will give that evidence the weight it deserves.

 which is about zero.

So we're supposed to believe that Joe Biden has dementia, and yet the entire Democratic establishment lined up to endorse him anyway?  That of all the people running for president, dozens of elected Democrats chose to endorse a man with dementia?  Or that somehow a man with dementia has been able to prevent any of them from having a clue that he does?  And we are also to believe that Jill Biden lives with this man, knows he's suffering from dementia, and hasn't warned anyone or counseled her husband not to run?

now that's preposterous.

OTOH, people who are close to Trump or have been over the past few years say things like this:

Book claims Trump mental decline

Trump losing it mentally claims Scaramucci

Trump Family Friend Contacted Yale Psychiatrist With Concerns About President's Mental Health

And those don't include all the people inside the White House who've called Trump a "moron" or expressed other opinions about his lack of intelligence:

All the ways Trump’s closest confidants insult his intelligence

this is an important point.  Virtually everyone declines in verbal acuity by age 70, so flubs and gaffes would be expected from both Trump and Biden.

Speak for yourself.

Yet, 38% of voters, and 20% of Democratic voters, think Biden has dementia.

What % of those voters have dementia?

it's because I'm not pulling my subjective opinions out of my ***.

Citing a Rasmussen poll is a sign that “someone” doesn’t care a whole lot about vetting the information he or she grabs off the web.

There is no full video where Biden is drooling and mumbling to himself the entire time. If that's what you need to see, I can't help you. Again there's a ton of Biden interviews and remarks out there in the public domain. Many hours, many videos. If you haven't seen or heard enough of Biden just from following politics, well then check out some videos and judge for yourself whether he's slipped mentally. I think he has, if others think he hasn't, others are entitled to that opinion.

It's very odd though. You say "whatever it is I'm trying to prove" like I'm coming out here with some wacko, tinfoil hat premise that nobody's ever heard of. Others have said my opinion is "effin absurd" and "preposterous". It's like I have three heads with my opinion, and thus my opinion needs specific evidentiary support because otherwise, well nobody on MOL has the slightest idea of what I'm talking about.

Yet, 38% of voters, and 20% of Democratic voters, think Biden has dementia.

https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/505562-biden-must-release-results-of-his-cognitive-decline-tests-voters-need-to

Just because you have seen it on Fox News doesn't mean it is not a wacko, tinfoil premise. Probably the opposite.

You people are brutal.

Remember the story about Lincoln being told that Grant was a drunk and responding. "Find out what he drinks and send a case to each of my other Generals"

If Biden has dementia I bet the following people wished they had the same degree of dementia:

Peter Buttigieg

Amy Klobuchar

Mike Bloomberg

Kamala Harris

Bernie Sanders

Elizabeth Warren

Corey Booker

Who did I leave out?

We shall see. As I've said from the outset, I hope Biden guts it out and gets elected. And if he does, I hope he makes it through a successful one term, which at his age is about all the country can ask of him. But I have my doubts.

One can find many interesting Poll results by Googling:

A July1970 poll found 30% of Americans declaring Apollo 11 to be a fake. That number remained relatively high throughout the '70s, when several books were published and a 1978 film about a phony mission to Mars, Capricorn One, convinced many that a moon landing was also a scripted piece of high-technology bunk.

https://www.newsweek.com/trump-birther-obama-poll-republicans-kenya-744195

Survey results released by YouGov Friday show that 51 percent of Republicans said they think former President Barack Obama was born in Kenya, compared to just 14 percent of Democrats. Perhaps unsurprisingly, respondents who voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election were especially convinced of Obama's African origins: Fully 57 percent said it was "definitely true" or "probably true" that the 44th president came from Kenya.

40% of Americans approve of Trump's job performance.

I think that tells us all we need to know about what kind of insanity Americans believe.

Yup. 40% of voters approve of Trump, and 38% of voters believe Biden is senile. Basically the same folks.

It's right next to Yo! Semite

It's only Thighland when standing.

When sitting, it's Lapland.

But it will appeal to the people in Ohio which is Trump country.

Trump's "Biden will hurt God" nonsense is something a desperate man says.  It's flop sweat.

it is pretty low, even for Trump.  But the real problem is that a lot of people WANT to believe that Joe Biden hates everything about them and their values.  Victimization is core to their world view.  Trump is the carnival barker who understands how to play the rubes.

The people who believe Trump's version have too much hate and ignorance to convert them from their Trump worship.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden responds with class -

On cognitive ability - Do I expect that President Joe Biden will get up in the morning and get right to work, review briefing materials provided by the staff, address issues that need addressing right away, and make decisions based on the facts?  Yes, I do expect that.  It will be a nice change from the last 3 and 1/2 years.

I evaluated it and came away thinking "hmmm, this seems like a guy who wouldn't separate families, put kids in cages, use his office for profit, ignore science, start dumb trade wars, hang out with criminals, and not release his tax returns after saying he would four years ago."

 Bingo.

Definitely looks like a guy who would sign a health care plan when he says he would. I think he would even ask lawmakers to write it, and when it’s done call it a big ******* deal.

Personally, I’m still waiting for the massive middle class tax cut Trump promised after the 2018 midterms, the Mexican Wall money, the original beautiful health care plan that covers everyone and would be cheaper than the ACA, infrastructure week, and a general sense of so much winning that I’ll be sick of winning. But the President is incompetent, an agent of chaos, and doesn’t give a **** about this country, so...

His decline has stopped, and he is increasing a bit. This is worrying. He is an incumbent, and he might still win re-election.

Yep, as I said in OP I think Biden is very close to peaking if he hasn't already. Sept and Oct will be a slog with downside risk for Biden. There's talk of a possible landslide based on some recent numbers, but I'd put my money on a close race.

 Sure you would...so predictable.

Don’t forget the COVID-19 global pandemic, which arrived on the heels of  the fake impeachment debacle — and  the prior three years+ of 2016 election results denial.

I'm here to talk Biden v Trump. If you have any thoughts, insights or perspective to offer, I'm happy to read, consider and discuss. But if you're just here to do your usual MO of cranky, potshot put-downs, maybe step away from the computer and go get some fresh air mmmmkay?
