indeed.  the cliché "falling on deaf ears" applies here. Which of course has nothing to do with someone being literally deaf.

It's less funny now that the dictionary definition of "literal" now includes "figurative" as a definition.  I'm at a loss to find the proper word to convey that something is literally, really, not kidding for real.


Whoever made that change in the dictionary definition should be shot. Literally.
