A family in Short Hills is looking for a Nanny/Household Manager to become an extended member of their family. The children are 5 years old, 6 years old, and 8 years old. The family is truly looking for the right fit and can be very flexible on the schedule. Ideally the schedule would be Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 8:30 am and then in the afternoon from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The Nanny will have the ability to create her own hours with the household management tasks as needed.

Duties:
Caring for the three children. Picking up and dropping off the children's laundry. Household management duties such as dry cleaning, occasionally helping dad with his laundry, grocery shopping, light cooking, and handling the household calendar including but not limited to play dates, and managing any vendors.

Ideal nanny:
The ideal Nanny for this home is someone who's proactive, a problem solver, detail oriented, disciplined, flexible with the schedule based on the families needs. Someone who is eager to work and takes initiative when something needs to be done. Someone who wants to be a part of the family but can sense when it's family time. Someone who's able to manage all three children and set boundaries. A warm, positive, and kind presence but also knows how to discipline the children appropriately in order to maintain order. A Nanny who will understand and appreciate that they are a team with the parents, all backing each other up.

About the family:
These parents are warm, friendly, down to earth, family and detail-oriented. They are commutative and open to suggestions. There are no pets in the home.

This 5-year-old can be more challenging and needs someone who's able to set and keep boundaries. He thrives with attention and adapts quickly. He's enrolled in dance and karate.

The middle child is joyful, warm, and a pleasure to be around. She is quite a character who loves making voices and pretend playing. While she is independent, she also loves people and is a rule follower who adapts quickly. Her activities include dance, soccer, piano, and karate.

The oldest, 8-year-old boy, is sensitive and oftentimes gets in his own head in a negative way but he can also be happy, enthusiastic, and affectionate. While the oldest child is a little stubborn, especially when hearing the word no, he has his positive qualities as well. He participates in soccer, karate and piano.

Discipline in this household includes consequences, counting to three, and removal of privileges. There are no currently known allergies in this home.
