Window replacement & fix

We need to replace 2-3 old windows as well as caulk up a couple of ones at my house. Any suggestion on who to call? Thanks

we used Pella...their showroom is in Springfield. It worked out well.

While Pella & Anderson windows are well advertised, neither is high quality.  My FIL bought Pella replacement windows for 1 or 2 rooms, and they were poorly assembled.

Consider repairing the old windows and maintain the character of your house.

Do you know anybody who can fix old windows?

John Clayton advertiser.

He can source Pella, Andersen, and locally made vinyl replacements (which I used for 9 basement windows).

Amongst other things, I do some window repairs:

  • Replacing sash cord (or chain) if broken.
  • Reglazing
  • Replacing broken glass

Tomcat - what about caulking up windows? Can you do that?

If you mean caulking around the frame, certainly.

Word of caution to DIY'ers

For windows in doors (& built-ins), use tempered glass, not window glass.
