Wifi needed but already have Fios and one router

I need to get another wifi network in my home that's separate from the one that's already in place. I don't want the new network connected in anyway to the one that's there now. Can someone advise me how best to do this? I have Fios now and I'm assuming I will need to get another Fios account (or some other provider) and then set it up????? I'm lost and need this taken care of quickly. Can anyone out there help me?

Don't understand why you need a 2nd Wifi net in the same house but I'm sure the Geek Squad at Best Buy can hook you up with a couple of Wifi Routers. Been a while since I shopped for one so forget the brand names off the top of my head.

Assuming second network is for work, can your company's IT personnel help with this?

Do you have any minimum performance requirements? If you can tolerate middling speeds, I'd say that the easiest and quickest way to do what you want is to get a Mi-Fi unit (from whichever cellular provider offers the best reception in your area). Typically, these will support up to 5 Wi-Fi devices and will be totally independent of your current home network, plus they offer portability. Good luck.

I havr a Mifi which works pretty well. The newer ones connect to more devices than 5 now. Range is pretty decent on mine ... maybe 25 feet in the house ... and better on the newest ones.

Like all mobile data, though, there are monthly usage limits depending on your plan. If you go over your limit they hit you with big charges per gigabyte. So make sure you understand your capacity needs before you go that way.

Like blueheeler said, this could take a quick trip to the cell phone store of your choice to accomplish.
