Last month we purchased a couch from Jennifer convertibles that we're very happy with. My favorite thing about this couch is that the cushions are firm. We have another, older couch that has cushions that sink all the way down, but the fabric is fine. I'm wondering if there are any local places that will sell me a block of 3' x 2' x 6" cushion foam so I can replace the foam in the old couch's cushions.
Alternatively I contacted Jennifer Convertibles and they suggested I contact the manufacturer of the couch that we bought from them which I'm following up on.
I've used Terminal Mill Ends for lots of things and would recommend them.
On the off chance that you can't find what you are looking for locally, there's a mail order place for replacement foam for cushions. The link is: https://www.buyfoam.com/Store/Shapes/Default.aspx
@cody buyfoam.com is exactly how I'd like to buy foam on the web, but I'm surprised at how pricey it is! The two cushions are quoted at $126! @nohero @rowerg I will check out Terminal Mills and Joann - thanks for these suggestions!
I replaced a couple of sofa cushions (foam) within the last year and after a lot of comparison shopping, used Unique Upholstery in SO rather than go the DIY route. One thing I learned is that reasonable quality replacement foam is not inexpensive.
@cody - after calling several local upholstery shops, I can confirm that foam is surprisingly expensive! Infact, the buyfoam.com is about 30% less expensive than the closest local shop.
@mergele - Unique Upholstery did not appear on my Yahoo search. Do you have their phone number?
