Weird behavior
May be he's excited while out for a walk. We cannot predict the behavior of dogs. There'll no no harm until he attacks someone. Don't worry, barking and running around are just common behavior of dogs. May be he has change in behavior due to his age or hormonal changes.

My very sedate, quiet senior dog has been acting nutty lately. Whenever I take him to the park now, he starts barking at me and running around my legs wagging his tail. This continues until we return home, where he settles down again. He was never neutered, and I'm thinking he's picking up the scent of some ladies in heat. Could this be the reason? Or should I be concerned . . .
