Speaking of cats and booze, remember that cat that was mayor in an Alaskan town for a couple of decades? Drunk from a margarita glass?
Sadly, Mayor Stubbs died last week

In Queensland, a cat has been saved from death by a quick-thinking vet who gave it a vodka infusion.
The cat had apparently drunk radiator coolant before it was found and rescued.
