Very small hail in wo now

Graupel, not hail. Graupel forms around a snow flake as it falls through the various layers of the atmosphere. Hail is solid ice, and forms when rain is blown back up in the updraft of a thunderstorm and freezes. This updraft cycle can repeat, and hail can get quite big. Graupel is always small, and softer.

Tiny hail coming down in upper Gregory, looks like salt pellets
