US Open

Who's watching?

First off - the whole Djokovic thing is a bit blown out of proportion.  Had he hit the line judge anywhere other then where he did - this would really be a non-issue.  McEnroe says he'll always be known as the "bad guy" - no he won't.  Maybe John is hoping to pass on that reputation.

There have been some good matches - I miss the crowd, but am still enjoying without.

Here's today's lineup:

I do think this was a total accident.  As to punishment,  I do not know all the tennis rules.  But being a long time baseball player, this strikes me as being like a batter throwing a bat in anger and hitting another player, or the umpire.   There are rules regarding this behavior.   And from what I recall as a kid, one of the first rules you learn is, "Don't throw the bat!"

I dont think it would have mattered where she got hit-he would still be out

go Dom Thiem!

It was disappointing that Serena lost, but I've really enjoyed watching Azarenka play throughout the Open.  Looking forward to the match with Naomi!
