Trump and Clean Water

Trump always says he loves clean water.  That is until he find a law the Obama enacted to protect it.

The Trump administration will finalize its replacement for the Obama-era Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule in a move that will strip protections from more than half of the nation's wetlands and allow landowners to dump pesticides into waterways, or build over wetlands, for the first time in decades.

You would think, given his interest in water sports, that this would be a higher priority.

 The topic is "clean" water.

Who needs clean water when you can own the libs?

I shared this on FB a few days ago. As my page is public I hoped that just one Trump supporter would stop and think, "Oh yeah water, I drink it and I wash with it." I suggested we stop arguing everything with the response that we are a blue state so it doesn't effect us.and recall that waterways do not respect borders. Imagine what he could do to destroy the planet given 4 more years.

Just add a little bleach. Maybe bathe in it...

Jimmurphy...Enough of this sh!t. If you don't like a thread, don't read it. But please allow the rest of the opportunity to read it and comment. Thank you in advance.

Goodness, Dennis, wasn't jimm just joking along with some of the others?

A little of both, but I’ll cease and desist.

Looking through some of the old ones, there are many that bear revisiting.

When I checked out MOL earlier today it looked like jim was the only one posting, apparently looking to start a conversation. Nothing wrong with that. I've been there myself.

Well you know, traffic on the way into the office was pretty bad today. Lego pieces all over the hall, double-parked matchbox cars. Then of course I couldn't find any free conference rooms to take my morning meetings in once I did get in. Was a while before I had a chance to check in on MOL.

That's fine, but your strategy was very clear, and you almost sunk the thread off the first page. That's wrong. As for that thread being sunk, that's on Jamie, who is also wrong. If the thread was not viable, it would sink itself. It doesn't need his help.

Having said all that, I still find the thread odious to the extreme, but it deserves whatever traffic it earns, which is quite a bit. It is not up to a single person, or pair of people, to deny others the right to view and interact with it.

 You are forgiven.  oh oh

Does it really deserve traffic?

It has devolved to the point that most of the responses eventually get to the point of analyzing the OPs state of mind. She’s noted that herself.

She posts garbage, then refuses to defend it or answer any question in a manner that sheds light on her position or why she supports POTUS in any way. There’s no learning going on.  She’s a troll in the very definition of the word. Typically the advice is to ignore these posters, and I disagree that we should entertain trolls  merely to entertain ourselves or for the sheer “pleasure” of argument.

And I think Jamie did the exact right thing here. Sends a message without a ban or silencing. If that’s the intent.
