This weekend, we're in the Rondout Valley, New York, northwest of New Paltz. Compared with NYC, it's a very low wind area. But yesterday, it was mighty windy!

6 PM EDT THIS EVENING...
* WINDS...West 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* TIMING...Late this morning through early this evening.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds may down limbs, small trees, and power
lines. Isolated to scattered power outages are expected.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph,
or gusts of 46 to 57 mph, are expected or occurring. Winds this
strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile
vehicles, in open areas, and on elevated roads and bridges. Use
extra caution.
