Apparently they removed a bunch of traffic lights in London, I guess so they wouldn't spoil the view of the motorcade. Or something.
And talk about amateur night, the new king is not knocking it out of the park. 2 viral videos in a few days does not bode well.

I saw some video tonight, on MSNBC maybe, where a former servant to Charles told a story where the servant was summoned to retrieve a letter that had fallen into the wastebasket by Charles' desk. Also, that another servant was responsible for putting the toothpaste on his toothbrush every night. And that he has his shoelaces pressed.
I completely believe it. He's an entitled twit.
And maybe he should switch to ballpoints, as he obviously can't handle a fountain. Or maybe Sharpies.
Charles is not astute. It was rumored the Queen worried about him.
The Queen got smart enough to realize they need public support. Show they care, not to show disdain, etc. She know the monarchy can be removed with an Act of Parliament, a simple majority vote.
If this is true, it does not reflect well:
Dozens of Clarence House staff have been given notice of their redundancy as the offices of King Charles and the Queen Consort move to Buckingham Palace after the death of the Queen, the Guardian has learned.
Up to 100 employees at the King’s former official residence, including some who have worked there for decades, received notification that they could lose their jobs just as they were working round the clock to smooth his elevation to the throne.
Private secretaries, the finance office, the communications team and household staff are among those who received notice during the thanksgiving service for the Queen, at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh on Monday, that their posts were on the line.
Many staff had assumed they would be amalgamated into the King’s new household, claiming they were given no indication of what was coming until the letter from Sir Clive Alderton, the King’s top aide, arrived. One source said: “Everybody is absolutely livid, including private secretaries and the senior team. All the staff have been working late every night since Thursday, to be met with this. People were visibly shaken by it.”
It would be nice to lay the Queen to rest before the monarchy eats itself alive with the help of various cheering sections.
Whether you approve or disapprove of Britain and the monarchy, she was quite a remarkable woman who set an example of service that many could do well to emulate.

This!
And, honestly, it really isn't our business.
He has said he would cut back on the numbers among/around the royal family, but this is a particularly awkward (awful) way to start.
Absolutely, tjohn and sac! Who are we to criticize. Most of the British people loved the Queen and we can see that from the long lines and the sadness. Even today I am part of the Anglican Communion (Episcopal Church) as are many Americans even though my ancestors landed in New Haven in 1630. I admire the British spirit. I can say this with quite a bit of Irish in me.

apart from lasting for 70 years, which I admit is an accomplishment, why exactly was she remarkable?
why are people afraid to admit that as one of the more powerful people on the planet, she did not actually do anything significant in her life? If you ask me Princess Diana did a helluva lot more in a fraction of the time.

Why does this matter so much to you?

I remember when Diana died, the Queen snubbed the event until Tony Blair had her realize she was hurting the "firm."

Because I don't like ridicule for no reason. It applies to you as well.

Who's ridiculing?
I just don't like hagiography.
Now if they threw her a Viking Funeral, I'd be on a plane to Heathrow, tomorrow morning..
