Also feeling cranky about lovage.
Me too. I entered it twice just in case I had misspelled it the first time (like lvoage).

gah. I just need the pangram for 5/30, but I can't get it.
The pangram came easily to me today, and I was able to get to Genius quickly..too quickly for my liking. My only complaint today is that there were so few words...I'm currently at 20 with 92 points...that I flew through the puzzle in no time. I prefer a puzzle with a greater word bank.
I've hit a brick wall at 15 words / 74 points. The fact that you're at 20 with 92 points means I won't give up just yet. But yes, it would be good to have a few more words available.
ETA: I've just found a couple more: now at 17 words and 81 points.
I am at 19 words with 87 points. I prefer a bigger word bank but sometimes I feel really dumb missing easy words.
Usually I do well on ones like today where there’s the possibility of ete or ette there. Today? Not so much. It’s the B that tends to mess me up. My brain doesn’t know many words with B in them, apparently.

I’ve come to realise that being unable to unscramble letter patterns is a very early sign of oncoming migraine for me…sometimes I’m really quick, sometimes I’m hopeless. On the hopeless days, I’m often whimpering within a couple of hours.
Enjoy your puzzles
I also got to 92 quickly but when my son texted me the Lorde song with the lyric “you can call me queen bee,” I had to get there too. (Though not without his hint to me to think about the words I always miss.) It’s more doable than usual today (if you don’t have a migraine!).
Also QB'd that one. Had to take time throughout the day to shuffle the letters enough.

How many words was it?

What's Queen Bee? It's not mentioned on the game page, or is it?
Missed out on two words from the 'B' group.
One I should have got, and the other is not in my lexicon and, in fact, I've never heard of it until now.
Any idea what dictionary the game-setters use as their reference?

Queen Bee is getting all of the words on the official list of words.

Thank you, and thanks for the next bit, as well.
Done at 19 for yesterday. Missed one easy B word and the longer L word. One of these days I’ll get to QB.
ETA: I thought yesterday’s pangram was pretty easy.

There are a few pangrams in today's (May 31, Letter 'T') game.

I was done at 20 for yesterday...missed only the longer L word, which kept me from getting to QB, but that's the closest I've ever been to QB so I'll chalk it up as a personal best and leave it at that.

yes, there are...and thanks to them, I've reached Genius with 44 words/227 points so far.

I must thank everyone here for putting me on to the Spelling Bee game. I've only been playing it for a couple of days, and can see why and how it can become addictive.
Even more addictive for me is the Vertex puzzle! I have kept busy over the lockdown with these.
I've run out of steam for the moment. But then, I'm not surprised - it's approaching 3.30 in the morning where I am (about 14 hours ahead of NJ time.)
49 words /244 points for me at present. I'll be interested to see what I've missed when the new game arrives (around 5:00pm in the afternoon, my time.)
ETA: now 50 words & 249 points

That is exactly the word my son spurred me to get by telling me to look at my list and think of what I always miss.
Today's puzzle (the one with "I" in the center) was a killer for me. I managed to make it to Genius with exactly 124 points and a total of 32 words, but it sure wasn't easy.

At this stage, I'm stuck at Amazing, with 117 points from 26 words - and yes, it is a killer!
I'm at 29 with 9 words. lol I'm always bad with words with an I - like when I get 3 of them on my scrabble rack.
I'm sure I'll notice something then will get a lot. But I'm stumped.
