I was sent a notice last year and had the airbag replaced without hassle. Are they expanding the initial recall?
I had to have my airbag replaced last year at my cost because it was defective. Now again my airbag warning is lit up. I received the recall notice last month, but the manufacturer said that replacements would be scheduled. Could I be credited for the first one?

You should definitely pursue reimbursement. I suggest you contact the car's manufacturer. Ask for reimbursement AND that replacement be scheduled immediately given that the warning light is again on. Be prepared to threaten to notify the Fed's.

"Takata and Honda were aware of an airbag rupture in a Honda vehicle as early as 2004, but did not alert safety regulators or issue a recall. Former Takata engineers have said that Takata conducted secret tests on inflaters it retrieved from scrapyards that year, but ordered the data destroyed after the two inflaters cracked under testing."
"It's because of how long it took for everyone to realize what's going on -- what's why it went form a small recall to the largest recall in American history."
