Sweet Molly Rose needs a home

MOLLY ROSE

12 years young - DECLAWED

Spayed - Up to date on shots - No health issues. Fully vetted.

Sweet, gentle, affectionate, loves belly rubs, great purrer, likes other cats.

This sweet, healthy kitty is in desperate need of a home. Her caregiver, my sister, is going into a nursing home and although Molly Rose is still living in her NYC apartment and is being looked after by her cat sitter, time is growing short.

For 12 years Molly has been my sister's constant companion, nursing her through breast cancer, chemo and radiation. Devoted and loving, she now finds herself needing a new home.

If you are looking for a beautiful, loving, gentle cat to share your life with, Molly Rose is for you. She deserves a break at this critical juncture in her life. Please consider either adopting or fostering this sweet girl.

Oh, she's lovely. I hope you find her a new, loving home soon.

Very sweet face. She looks well-behaved, too, and curious about why someone's taking pictures of her.

Thank you, PeggyC and springgreen2! Molly Rose is such a sweetheart and so affectionate. I wish I could take her in, but my daughter's allergies make it impossible. Do you have any suggestions on finding her a loving home?

I would continue to keep this thread alive and hope that more of the cat-loving community chimes in with suggestions for local options. You've provided photos and a full description, both of which help a lot.

Thanks, Peggy! I'll keep my fingers crossed that some lucky person falls in love with Molly.

I really hope someone gives this pretty girl a chance. She has many good years left to be someone's loving pet, and she is tugging at my heart strings.

Hi Rivoli

Have you tried your sister's vet? There are vet's who will take a client's pet that they have treated under these circumstances. Many vet's have places to post either in the office or on their website. As a former Manhattanite, I know that the cat is the #1 apartment pet. She may post in her building and find a neighbor or friend who might take her. Their are rescues in NYC that are on Petfinder. They are not shelters. I don't know any of them personally but a few post regularly.
