Do you actually try to make it impossible for people to agree with you? Sometimes I feel like I might agree with you but because of your delivery it's simply not possible.
As the article notes, without video, it's hard to galvanize people in such situations. And caring about unarmed black men being shot by police is a very recent phenomenon. To cry "reverse racism" (whatever that means) is kind of silly.
Well no one on the left is acting as if they think Zachary Hammond's life matters. So what would you call it?
And as I said it is generally protest that forces the police to release video.
You and your peers should organize a rally protesting police violence. Granted, it affects black lives disproportionally. The conflicting feelings that would create within you can be overcome.
Obviously you are not aware, as many of us are, that the ones making the most noise about the death of this young man, are those from #BlackLivesMatter which have been actively using this handle on Twitter to raise awareness and make sure what happened is investigated.

Not a peep from the usual suspects about this seemingly unjustified police shooting:

"To Zachary Hammond’s supporters, the shooting death of the 19-year-old man was yet another example of questionable police behavior that has shaken communities around the country.
In their view, the police in Seneca, S.C., falsely claimed Mr. Hammond was shot last month as he tried to drive his car over the officer who fired on him, when his wounds show he was actually shot from the side and back.
They also say the deadly confrontation, in which officers approached with their guns drawn and screaming profanities, evolved from an absurd sting effort to trap his date into selling a tiny amount of marijuana, a drug now decriminalized in much of the country...."
And don't try that "the video was not released line. If there were protests regarding this shooting as there were on the others the video would have been forced to be release.
The silence, while protesting the others is an example of the hypocrcy of the left. If it does not serve its quest for power and control it does not exist.
Do you actually believe that there would be much fuss about African-Americans killed if the African-American community had not organized? This isn't really a "left" thing as you seem to believe.

Sure there is. You just need to be more sensitive to extremely subtle distinctions. To you or me, a herd of zebras might all look the same, but the zebras are aware of who's who in the herd.
Wait a minute, I thought The New York Times was the left!

Where I grew up, Sanders would be considered a wet liberal with Tory allegiances. The Socialists selling the Morning Star in Camden Lock would double the price if he wanted to buy one. Scots would laugh in his face if called himself a leftist there. In the UK he'd be on a par with one the Liberal Democrats.

I spent the coldest night of my life sleeping in a cave 12 miles north of Edinburgh on the road to Inverness
Luckily Bernie does not have to do that.

Oh yeah, I spent a night beneath an underpass outside Laurencekirk 30 miles south of Aberdeen hitchhiking to Banff on the northern coast. Brr! Never did that again

I would comment, but I don't care enough about YOUR life; whatever race you are.

Gets pretty cold in Vermont, guys.
Having grown up under governments dominated by Social Democrats & The Socialist Peoples Party (break-away group from the Communist Party), I can positively state that there is no such thing as 'The Left' in the US.
The mainstream Democrats are centrists.
The sensible Republicans are conservatives.
The far right wing of the Republicans are certified wingnuts.
zoinks guy:
As @pmartinezv pointed out there's been plenty outcry from various groups. You seem to be the one out of the loop. But don't worry you're not alone. A good deal of the coverage deals with the hypocrisy exhibited by folks like you who dismiss #BlackLivesMatter or feign concern about Zachary Hammond in an effort to make uninformed points that inevitably lead to nothing.
Hammond was murdered and his death deserves attention and investigation. Why not concern yourself with that? If you do, you may understand why this "left" that you have fever dreams about is actually trying to point out a problem with state sanctioned violence that will (as you can see) affect ALL of us.

I really don't understand why so many people on MOL seem to think they are entitled to tell the rest of us what to think and when to be outraged by something. It's exhausting trying to keep up with the expectations.
Who knows what Zoinks really believes. Certainly he likes tossing stink bombs and then leaving the room.
He might be copying the threads started by others, but that doesn't get around the fact that there are also others who are determined to make the rest of us feel what they feel. It's becoming annoying. (Yes, I will stop reading those threads. It's just become harder to avoid them since we can no longer opt not to see certain categories.)

That's about as accurate as it gets. Kinda like a lightweight ajc. Though, for the gymnastics he performs to make a ridiculous point, I give him a 9.3. Someone's got to roil these lib waters. You go, zz.
Aren't too many libertarians left, now that Rand has left the room and taken his jheri curls to the con corner.

You can opt out of categories. Go to the categories section on the front page, then you can deselect what you don't want to read by clicking the Eye icon.
