Huckabee doubles-down on the crazy: says God, not Constitution, rules the U,.S.

Those of you in the "Anyone but Greg" camp who now call yourselves Republicans may wish to take in the spectacle of your new party's response to the SCOTUS ruling yesterday. The King of Crazy is Huckabee, who says his God makes the rules for marriage we must follow. I am not making this up:

I agree. It's a slippery slope. Once Scalera gets in, she's going to segregate the town, force the town clerk to not recognize same sex marriages, insist that her own pay be cut, force herself to have a trasvaginal ultrasound, and order the Maplewood army to attack Bolivia.

That said, Huckabee used to sound rational. I'm glad he's letting all the crazy out for all to see.

Meanwhile, Huckabee doesn't even know his bible. Nowhere in the New Testament does Jesus condemn homosexuality or same sex marriage. He was completely silent on the matter yet people like Huckabee claim to know the mind of Christ. -Not that is should matter in a government which is NOT a theocracy as to what Jesus may have said or not said.

BTW: I feel compelled to mention that one of our present Democratic TC members has stated in the past that "God designed marriage between a man and a woman". -Just sayin'

Wouldn't these folks be more comfortable in Iran where the highest Religious Leader is the final authority?

They would if the religious leader was a follower of Jesus.

Are there any other countries besides the U.S. and the Middle East lands of the Ayatollah's where so many political leaders are so invested in having God rule the population?
