Of course, I have been terrified about Trump being our next President. He does not have one policy and not many thoughts I can agree with, to say nothing of him becoming the American Dictator with project 2025 and more. He wants to be America's Putin, and I think he is right that an American Dictator would basically rule the world, and as I have speculated elsewhere, with a new world dominance of the Dictator nations.
When people were pushing Biden out of the campaign, I was worried, because I am so impressed with his record and his person. But I felt much better when all of the Leadership of the Dems got behind Kamala. And then, the first big decision she made was selecting Walz as a VP candidate. I had been hoping for Shapiro because I was (and am) worried about Pennsylvania. I knew nothing about Walz, but I dont think I could invent a better running mate, so I think she showed great judgement.
Today, I watched the highlights of the Biden - Harris joint press coverage, they just seem to be such a great team with so much mutual respect and support, it was a "graceful", elegant, and competent session. I am so far impressed, and I am hoping for a democratic landslide in Novermber.
I'm feeling optimistic and when I watched the Biden Harris event, I too was impressed by the warmth displayed between them.
I'm doing my best not to get too carried away as I was on this forum cheering for Hillary when I suddenly saw the numbers come in from Florida. Hopefully this euphoria will last all the way to election night. As we know it's all about the electoral college but it is hard not to feel the positive energy in the air.
What is most contagious is the joy and the laughter on display at the Harris campaign events. The same laughter which apparently irritates Trump and his followers, makes me positively giddy.
this is good sign in terms of having it together. this is the way to get to him
I'm certainly enjoying seeing Trump on his heels, but until he is buried with a wooden stake through his heart, I won't count him out.

Maybe we can borrow some holy water from MT and douse him with it…the violence of the wooden stake is not something I would want to see…
