Jeez, let the investigation result in some facts before resorting to the usual leftist line.
Like *****ing clockwork.
The Charleston police have described racism as the initial suspected motivation. Don't blame hoops for repeating their statement.

This is an instance in which your usual nonsense is in poor taste.
That's the last I'll write on that, so please don't clutter the thread with more of this nonsense. Write about it on your "Let's completely distort what Bill Nye said" thread, if you must.

From what I have read they called it a "hate crime". But then again isn't every murder? But I have not seen the R word used by the police yet.

right, because obviously this sick fu-ck targeted this group because he didn't care for the last sermon.
I don't see this in the same light as the colorado movie theater shooting, this is in the same vein as bombing a church and killing 4 school girls.

Horrific, devastating..I'm no church (or synagogue or temple goer) but if you are not safe there where can one be? So sad.

No, every murder is most assuredly NOT a "hate crime" in the eyes of the law. A hate crime is a “criminal offense against a person or property motivated in whole or in part by an offender's bias against a race, religion, disability, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.” So please stop with the semantic bull*****
Someone needs to look up the definition of "hate crime." No, not every murder qualifies.
And if a skinny white kid with a Prince Valiant haircut decides to kill a group of black people at a prayer meeting, chances are he didn't do it just because one of them didn't put enough money in the collection plate on Sunday.
Murder is murder and should be punished as such. It is the attempt, which advances the leftist agenda, to classify that is semantic bulls**t.

He is just trying to bait everyone, using this horrific crime to push his anti-"leftist" agenda. The best course of action is not to respond.
It's a shame ramzzoinksus cant find any shred of humanity buried beneath his political bluster. He discredits himself with every word.
9 people have been brutally murdered inside their place of worship including the pastor who was a father of two young children. It is probable they were murdered because some crazy person didnt like the color of their skin. We should weep with them and pray for them, not complain about a leftist agenda.
Funny. I don't consider prosecuting hate crimes as what they are as a "leftist" agenda. I consider it a "human" agenda. But I need to remember the audience of one, in this case, where "hate" of leftists is a default setting.
I do weep for them. But it was the OP who immeidately tried to use it to make a political point.

No, it was a very human response. Unlike yours.
Political point against whom? And even if it was, you think a knee-jerk 180-degree response simply for the sake of a response effectively counters that? Seriously? Wow.

The crime should be prosecuted as premeditate murder. Nothing else is necessary. A conviction on premeditated murder will likely bring life in prison or a death sentence. So that is that.

There is no expression of humanity there. Just a raw political statement.
The murders in South Carolina deserve to be discussed on its own merits, not my motivations for posting. Please stop the nonsense.
By assuming a motivation? And even if a deranged man (because one has to be so to do this type of awful act) had hatred in his mind it certainly can not be generalized as you chose to immediately do for political reasons.
So sad that we have come so far, and yet so many still have so much hatred towards others, for no real reason to the point of committing mass murder. My heart goes out to them and their families.

Unless, of course, if this was a "muslim" going into a predominantly white Christian church, this would have TERRORISM all over it.
Or would you be saying then that this was simply premeditated murder as well? For some reason I doubt it.
from a surviving victim:
Survivor: Church Gunman Said 'I Have To Do It'
Sylvia Johnson, a cousin of shooting victim Pastor Clementa Pinckney, told WIS News that the shooting suspect reportedly said "I have to do it. You rape our women and you're taking over our country. And you have to go."
Johnson, who spoke with a survivor of the shooting, also said that the suspect reportedly reloaded five times during the shooting.
I should have pointed this out a long time ago....I always thought it was funny watching Zoinks rile the creadulous up, but.... Zoinks is a parody troll account. Read his stuff with that in mind and after 3 or 4 posts you'll see it's true.
The person running the account in no way shares a conservative viewpoint. They post as the boogie man dullard that leftists assume right wingers are. Some fall for it, some don't.
There is a poster here who takes the opposite tack- posts radically left wing things and then sits back and watches the flames, tossing in a cup of gasoline here and there as they burn lower. They have had the decency to keep out of threads like these, however.
Don't let him wind you up. Sometimes the subject is appropriate for a bit of piss taking. This isn't one of them.
The thoughts of all people of good will I am sure find great accord this morning, regardless of political beliefs.
Jackson Fusion, I could see how you might get that impression from reading his posts of the past year or so, but the person behind that and several other accounts used to be a libertarian. His ire was aimed at both sides of the aisle. it's really been relatively recent that he has become so over the top. And while I have no doubt that much of what he posts he does for the sake of "ril[ing] the creadulous up," I have little doubt that he believes most of what he posts.
Some folks here have met him in person and have not given any indication that he is anything other than sincere.
That said, I hope you are right about this.

Lets see - hate crime in a black church, against blacks. To me that really smells like racism. I very much doubt its a hate crime against Christianity especially considering the comments made by that criminal.
I assume your intelligence is greater than that of a potato. Therefore, you have to know its a race crime and you are purposely politicizing this. Your sick agenda.
The history of the Charleston Emanuel AME church is astounding:

I've been around a while and have seen the sundry screen names- never met the guy in person. That said, he is absolutely attempting to be inflammatory. Don't forget, too, that "he" may not even be Zoinks.
In any case- no libertarian would take him seriously either. He's a cartoon. It's a parody account, and in this case, an unfunny one in terrible taste.
As to whether I am right on the other point- I know that I am. Most people are good. Period. Those who tend to inflict their mental illness on everyone publicly by vomiting bile in a public cry for attention or acting with violence are a vanishingly small part of our whole. Small comfort to those who lost friends or family but nevertheless true
Is this the 60's all over again? Domestic terrorism caused by racism?
