Award-Winning Historian and Journalist JELANI COBB to speak at Seton Hall on 2/27--FREE and Open to the Public!

Hi, everyone! I wanted to share a local event that I think many in our community would be interested in: JELANI COBB, the award-winning journalist and historian, will give a talk at Seton Hall University on February 27th at 5pm in Jubilee Auditorium. The talk is titled "The Half-Life of Freedom: Race and Justice in America Today." This event is free and open to the public. Professor Cobb is a staff writer for The New Yorker; he received the 2015 Hillman Prize for Opinion & Analysis Journalism. Most recently, you may have seen him in the Oscar-nominated documentary '13th' or read his absorbing coverage of the unrest in Ferguson, MO. I hope to see you there; please see the attached flyer for more info and feel free to contact me with any question. (Full disclosure: I am a member of the executive board for the Lewinson Center at Seton Hall, of which this is the inaugural event.)
