Seussical Jr. at Seth Boyden School May 29, 30, 31

MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Seth Boyden Demonstration School's 5th grade class will be debuting its production of Seussical Jr. The Musical this Friday, May 29 at 7 p.m.

Two more shows will follow at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, and 2 p.m. Sunday, May 31.

The show features snappy tunes, clever rhymes and all your favorite Dr. Seuss characters from Horton to the Cat in the Hat to all those Whos down in Whoville.

For two months, 60 Seth Boyden 5th graders (and one cute kindergartner) have been practicing their fluffy tails off with the support of the Seth Boyden PTA and the aid of a cadre of parents — some of whom bring Broadway and national touring company experience to the effort — to bring the community this perfect, precious dust speck of a performance.

Showtimes are Friday, May 29 at 7 p.m., Saturday, May 30 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, May 31 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children (ages 2 and under admitted for free) and can be purchased online at seusssethboyden.brownpapertickets.com or at Maplewood Stationers, Shenanigan’s Toys, The Fringe Salon and Sparkhouse Kids Toys.
