Russians

Can't help feeling bad for the Russian athletes getting showered with boos in Rio. 

I understand the issue and have followed it fairly closely. I know many if not most are complicit. 

But I'm also old enough to remember the horror stories that were revealed after the wall came down. 

Should spectators turn a blind eye to cheats? Never. I just feel badly for the kids is all.

Agreed.  The point has been made and the IOC is the group that should be booed.

When I first heard the whole "put the games in Greece permanently" argument I thought it was sort of batty. 

It's growing on me, if for no other reason than to eliminate the opportunities for graft and self dealing. Maybe some of these grifters will find another host to parasitize if that happens.
