Rona wasted vaccine.... are plans in place?

How many people/nurses are giving the injections at the Sears site?  From what I've heard, they move a lot faster than the Jersey Shore place I went to, which had 4 people giving shots (it was drive through, never got out of car).

Drive thru makes no sense because you have to wait 15 minutes to see if you are gonna croak from reaction to the vaccine. So the guy drives in, gets the shot, drives away and then goes into shock on Rt 9 ?

Is it possible the drive thru was for the annual flu? Maplewood's annual flu vac was drive thru.

They make you park for 15 minutes before letting you leave.  They tell you to beep your horn if you start croaking.  All good.

Yes, Gov. Murphy, but NJ received 400,000 doses. Shouldn't seniors get at least one dose?

 Nothing to brag about Phil.

Phil Murphy is now saying he hopes to get to the general population (Phase 2) by Memorial Day.  That's really really slow, in my opinon.  Five months before we get to the general population, and that's his optimistic timeline.

If the J&J vaccine gets approved on the sooner side, I have to hope its a different time line.  They can crank out a large volume real fast.

Better to be conservative and hopefully get ahead than over promise and be be behind.  This is both a logistics problem and a political problem, which makes it harder to predict.

The numbers are scary right now but most of the projections I've seen expect the current surge to peak this month.  If true, and the numbers start to go down, I guess it will lower the anxiety level about the pace of the rollout.  And, again, the government is not going to include an as yet to be approved vaccine in its rollout projections.  J&J (and/or others) could be a game changer.

the numbers would definitely go down if people grow up.  I know people insisting on going to bars (4 bars in 3 days at one point), going to social gatherings, standing within 3 feet of people in line at Walmart with masks pulled down , going to the gym..., etc.....especially after Christmas and New Years...when people HAD to travel to see relatives/friends....if people would just be responsible for the next few weeks it would make a big difference.

It confirms my belief that the surge is overwhelmingly affecting the generally careless or people who let their guard down at the wrong place and time.  Not a lot of mystery cases.  With the exception of two people - who know who they got it from -  all of my acquaintances, friends, colleagues who got it got it during the first wave and there was no mystery about their cases either.

Excellent phrasing.

Meanwhile, it will be of infectious interest to see the results of the super-spreader siege from Wednesday including all the interstate travel.

people seriously think there is magic 6 foot wall that provides 100% protection....someone actually said that to me

If you know anyone who lives in Maplewood or South Orange, please tell them about a program with St. Barnabas where the homebound can be vaccinated at home.  Registration needs to be done immediately.  Maplewood residents should contact the Maplewood Health Department with questions and to register  if eligible.  South Orange residents should contact SOMA Two Towns For All Ages.  Some faith-based organizations may also be helping with registration.  The program was mentioned at this week's services at the house of worship I attend and a registration form was included in an email to members.
