Don't throw it out - bring it to the Repair Cafe!"

Repair Cafe is an international movement that encourages people to fix their broken things rather than throw them out.  There will be a number of volunteer experts on hand who can show you how to repair your broken items.  In some cases, they will even fix these items for you themselves.  You just have to bring your items to in need of fixing to Morrow Church between the above  hours when the Repair Cafe is in operation.  SOMA Two Towns For All Ages is still looking for volunteers to help with repairs or to help with administration. Contact Cathy Rowe at the above phone number or email address if you would like to help.

This is a cool and great idea.  We toss away too much stuff that would have only taken a bit of effort to make workable again.

For more information, check out the Repair Cafe website at www.repaircafe.org

Hope to see you all at Morrow Church on April 28, 2018.

Thank you to Morrow Church and to the organizers, volunteers, and persons who rescued so many useful objects by bringing them to the Repair Cafe instead of to a landfill.  The long lines at several of the repair stations attributed to the event's resounding success.

Now is a great time to start looking about your home for items in need of repair that can be rescued at the next Repair Cafe.
