Raccoon kits need help!

I received a Facebook message from @joy saying that two raccoon kits were washed out of their nest and need help. She can pm the address to me or to someone who may be able to help.

Contact Debbie Hadu, they are her specialty.

@Copihue - who is Debbie Hadu and what is her contact info?

I came across a baby raccoon last week during a morning run. It was alone, shaking, and scared. I got it to move over from the middle of the street to the side and I called animal control, but I have no idea if that was the right thing. It could have been a baby abandoned, the mother could have been killed, it could have been sick, or maybe the mother wasn't too far away, but in any case, I wanted it to find its way.

Thanks.

Debbie Hadu is our former Animal Control Officer, who was let go when the town contracted with the shelter in Newark.  At the time she lived in Maplewood and I assume she still does.  For now, calling our present animal control as suggested above is probably the best thing to do.

Could we have a status update on these kits, please?

I think they were no longer to be found when she went back to try to help them
