Potters

Good morning,

Looking to see if there are any local potters around who can help me reproduce a broken piece I’m looking to replicate . I tried the usual suspects (shops) around the area but they don’t make anything. All their stuff is pre- produced and all you do is paint and they fire. TIA cheese

@PeggyC - she now has her own pottery studio

PeggyC is now living in Connecticut.  There are local potters who participate in the Artist Studio Tour.  Someone affiliated with Pierro Gallery or 1978 may have some suggestions.

Thank you... however both their websites seem to be temporarily closed. I’ll see if someone picks up the phone?

If you go on Facebook, try MAPSO Creatives.  Lots of local artists in that group.  It is a public group.

Thank you Joan!

These folks might point you to someone

I'm sorry to report that Carla Horowitz of The Clay Cellar Pottery passed away last spring of Covid. It's a huge loss. https://www.montclairlocal.news/2020/04/15/obituary-carla-horowitz/

I would contact the NJ Potter's Guild to see if they can help you find someone. http://pottersguildnj.org/
