Next cell phone: A Fairphone?

It seems to overpriced at US $775. You can get a similar phone (Quad processor, Android 5.1, 5" screen) 16 GB Moto G for US $ 219 adding a 32 Micro SD to give you 48 GB of memory. But the Fairphone screen resolution is better and the Moto G sold here only allows 1 SIM card.

I like my Droid 4. I'm used to it. But the battery started having charging issues -- which is not uncommon after a couple of years.
On top of that, the glass in front of the camera lens has a crack... so that messes up some photos/videos.
Other than that, it's working fine. So, I wanted to just fix those two little things: Change the battery, and change the little circle of glass. But no... it turns out, you're not supposed to change the battery -- it's made to be difficult, and would void the warranty (if I was still under one)! And forget changing the little glass lens. Seems prying it off the adhesive may bend the frame.
So, I started searching around for phones that allow you to actually fix these types of little things instead of getting a whole new phone every two years. And I found this Fairphone teardown review:

Fairphone is only available in Europe at the moment. It has an Android OS, and looks like a 'normal' smartphone that you could repair yourself. I think I will want one when (if) it comes here. However, the current price tag (in pounds) is not cheap (€529).
