For A, I would try to re-set the PRAM.
For B, I'm not sure if you mean this, but go to System Preferences, then Displays, then change Resolution from Default to Scaled and choose a different option to make text larger everywhere.
Thanks Dave.
B has helped.
I don't have an Apple keyboard- using a usb kb- so no command or option keys. I'll take to store next time I go for another matter.
If it's a Windows keyboard, the keys would be
Windows key + Alt + P+ R
You will see a lot of Command-key things you have to press. Put a sticker on your Windows key that looks like this --> ⌘ <-- and now it's a Command key.
After a long time getting here Wed afternoon I bought this Mac mini... and of courser I'm having some issues.
A) When I leave it unattended for a period it goes black- sleep, hibernate coma razzamatazz whatever it's called. Great! that's what it's supposed to do. BUT when I try to restart it asks for my password and won't respond to the keyboard. I have to 'force' off then start again; type fine and go about my business until next blackout. WHY?
B) I'd like to change the size of the displayed page (zoom in windows).. When I hit max button it expands the display to the edges of the screen- but it doesn't zoom. Hang on I just zoomed (on this page) via the view tab. How can I do this 'globally'? I looked in "System preferences' but didn't see anything.
