MOL: Will it rain or not this Sat 5/16 from 1-4pm?

Help me, MOL, you're my only hope! I need to make a decision today about whether or not to hold a party outdoors or indoors this Sat 5/16 from 1-4pm. Outdoors would be vastly preferred, but the forecasts I've read predict a slight chance of thunderstorms. There is limited shelter available at the outdoor site, but it's too big a crowd to spend the party under the shelter. I need to make a financial commitment today one way or the other and would love to hear suggestions from local weather watchers. Anyone want to posit a guess on whether or not it is likely to rain during the party? Thank you very much!

The Weather Channel predicts 85 degrees on Saturday with a 50 per cent chance of rain.

In my life 50 per cent always goes the wrong way.   Inside and be care free.

According to today's forecast, from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday the chance of rain is lower than during the morning and evening hours -- they're saying 20% as opposed to 40% earlier and later. But if you don't want the outdoor party area to be wet from earlier rain, even if it doesn't rain during the party, I'd vote for moving indoors.

Last night, they were saying rain possible earl am and evening. Midday should be okay.

Damn the torpedoes ...

Last year was our inaugural outing for the Rent Party Family Picnic ... There was a 98% chance of rain (heavy thunderstorms) for the day. We pressed on and it rained for EXACTLY 37 seconds!

Let's treat this like Dungeons & Dragons.  So if there's a 20% chance of rain.  We can roll a virtual 20 sided die and if it comes up 1-4 then it has rained.

Okay.  Number came back as 13.  So you should be good!
