Old Thread About Election Consequences

omg that was annoyingly strident. and not a little overwrought.
Does she always sound like that? If so, listening to her on a regular basis can't possibly be good for your mental health.

I think you sound sexist.  She's young and smart and usually has good analysis.  And there is no defending Joe Lieberman.  Even you think that.

Oh stop with the sexism. She practically yelled through that whole clip. It was annoying and probably raised my blood pressure.  And the importance she gave to Lieberman was, as I said, overwrought. I thought the freaking guy was dead ferchrissakes. He has no influence within the D party - much less among the NY electorate. And her conspiracy theory about Crowley using this to test the waters, based on her "experience" and no evidence, was loony. There's about zero chance that he will get a significant number of votes on the WFP line - why should he go through the rigamarole required to get his name off the ballot?

How high did you have the volume? There were most of the hallmarks of these TYT and Jimmy Dore clips (the eye-rolling, the mocking, the woker-than-thou disbelief), but I didn’t think Vigeland was anywhere near yelling.

"practically yelled". It was not a normal tone of voice. It was ratcheted up a few notches.

Or I dunno, maybe that's her normal tone of voice. Maybe she was just excited.

Or maybe it was all those other mannerisms you pointed out that annoyed me.

Or...

Emma Vigland grew up in New Jersey, so maybe that's why you all find her annoying, although I can't imagine a man who talks the same way getting criticized for being shrill.   Nevertheless, there are lots of choices when it comes to slamming Joe Leiberman, so forget Emma and google for another or watch one of these:

Vote Joe Crowley: Decrepit Joe Lieberman Pens Editorial In WSJ. Crowley's STILL ON BALLOT

Joe Lieberman Proves Once Again That He Is Garbage

The hallmarks I mentioned, nan, cover the TYT and Dore men as well and have nothing to do with place of origin.

I believe DB's criticism was "strident. and not a little overwrought." I don't think he said "shrill". I tell you who is a dude who's shrill, and that's Mark Levin. Lordy I haven't heard him in a while but all I can remember of his show is that sounded like someone letting air slowly out of the bottom of a balloon.

Emma Vigeland isn't shrill, she just sounds angry at something. Not sure what, as nothing has really happened. But she's very angry about it, just in case, I guess.

 yup, she's angry at....it.

I mean jeebus, who can get so upset about Joe Lieberman?

Mark Levine is  the secret identity of Donald Duck

I would be surprised if Joe Crowley made any attempt to win the General. First, he'd be attacked for going back on his word, Second, the Party on whose line he is listed does not support his Election, Third, the last time a Third -Party Candidate was elected to Congress in that area was 1948 in a Special Election. He ran as a Socialist and Zionist.

That's not a CNN piece, it's a "The Young Turks" piece.

I have a hard-and-fast rule that I don't entertain any political advice from any dumbass who helped Trump by attacking the Democratic nominee in the November 2016 election.  It makes life simpler and a little more peaceful.

What would you expect a candidate who is running for the same nomination to do about his opponent.  Praise them to the skies?  The man from the North country energized the Party.......

something HRC could not do.  He ran a clean campaign and when he lost worked for an HRC victory.

You live in a strange land called "After the fact"

nohero, I believe, is talking about the period after Hillary won the nomination. At that point, it's time for serious liberals to rally around the Dem. Or else, bad things could happen.

oh, wait. They did.

Thanks, Mr. Drummerboy.  Actually, I have another personal rule that if someone completely misrepresents what I wrote (either because of reading comprehension problems or being purposely obtuse), and then criticizes me for writing something I actually didn't write, I usually let the post speak for itself.

I don't think nohero was talking about Bernie.

I thought he was talking about the host of "Young Turks"

I tried watching the clip but they were just talking about why Sanders was #5 on the CNN list and they were so verbose that I could not stick to it to see whether they were going to discuss the others on the list or even mention them, particularly #s 1-4.

But it's good to see the co-host of "Young Turks" has an Armenian name.

No Hero.....rather than leave us to guess...........Would you name any prominent Democratic liberals

who attacked Hillary after she secured the nomination and before the election?

Your question has nothing to do with any of my comments.

But to humor you, here's a name - Dr. Cornel West.  He was put on the Democratic Platform Committee as part of Bernie's request for representation.  After Dr. West helped write a platform called the most progressive, he then endorsed Jill Stein.

I am honored but I am neither prominent nor a liberal.

Here's the CNN piece that TYTs referred to in case anyone wondered who was on the list.

https://www.cnn.com/2017/05/02/politics/2020-democrats-donald-trump/index.html

Another piece about the list

https://www.reddit.com/r/NewOrleans/comments/90ah0a/cnns_chris_cillizas_top_10_dem_candidates_for_2020/

Anyone see a few favorites?

TYT ENDORSED AND SUPPORTED CLINTON after the primary.  You are thinking of Jimmy Dore, who has a show on TYT.  Reporters and commentators on TYT are not required to all think the same.

That is one sparse list and I am not humored.  If you think that Dr. West was in any great degree

responsible for sinking HRC's boat.........don't ever go sailing.

You said "any".  I provided an example, which is a response to "any".

Or think at all, imho.

If we don't want Trump to win again, we must offer voters someone other than Hillary Clinton as his opponent. These Ever Hillary threads mystify me.

The list of 22 is not impressive. The only one who could tear Trump a new one is Cuomo. Plus he could attract the previously untapped Italian American vote. He’s probably not “ progressive “ enough for some, but he’s got a better shot than the first tier folks of putting Trump in his place. Only other possibility is Biden.

Cuomo has run a state. Like that about him.

I'm pretty sure you can't find one person in the universe who is hoping that Hillary will run again, so really not sure what you're talking about. That's not what this thread is about.
