Maplewoodstock bands?

I just reviewed the lineup and I’ve not heard of any of the bands. This of course surprised me.

You’re fortunate. Getting wowed by a previously unfamiliar act is a Maplewoodstock blessing, and now you have an entire slate of opportunity.

still in the past they had some hot acts. Before we moved here, we saw the Wailers! Someone told me they had Billy idol a few years back! With a rebel yell!!

The unknown (to me) closing acts have wowed me often. Several of the knowns - no names - have disappointed me over the years. Some seemed over the hill and disinterested. The Wailers were great but those were mostly kid Wailers, not the original guys (and not the late Marley of course).+

This is not the COMPLETE list of Billys who have NOT performed at Maplewoodstock.

The Poppy Family ("Which Way You Going, Billy"), has not performed at Maplewoodstock.

Remarkably, Billy Idol is before my time but Red Buttons isn’t. (Though I had to look up that routine.)

Looking forward to hearing what Louis Cato plays outside his Late Show obligations. The Maplewoodstock website says he’ll “be leaning into the funkier side of life.”

we're new here, but we saw the Wailers at MWS eight years ago. And oh, I remember the Smithereens from twelve years ago.

Interesting side note I think.  Pat Dinizio was still alive and fronting the Smithereens at that show.   In recent years, (the great) Marshall Crenshaw has often toured with and fronted the Smithereens, and he was a headline act at MW years ago.

I got to spend some quality chat time with Pat at a house concert at ml1's place many years ago. Turns out he and I grew up around the corner from each other in Scotch Plains, NJ. He was a good guy. Gone too soon. 

I've also had the pleasure of booking MC a few times. Interesting cat and a great songwriter. 

For the record, Billy Ocean, Billy Paul, Billy Preston, and Billy Strings have never played Maplewoodstock.

The whole park was doing the electric slide. Oh, wait, that's Eddy Grant! No! Wait: Eddy Grant did Electric Avenue. And, for the record, Eddy Grant has never played Maplewoodstock although Amy Grant was always a possibility. 

I've always wanted to get Billy Squier.

still have great memories of that party. Pat was quite a character. He made absolutely sure we put together a big plate of food to bring home for his mom
