Have you tried powering the machine off and then on again? I find that often resolves problems with computers and phones.

Yes, We tried the reset via the apple chat but they were not much more helpful.
If you haven't already, try Googling the problem. Maybe you'll find a useful suggestion. Otherwise, I guess you'd have to contact Apple either by phone or in person at the store.

My MacBook keyboard and trackpad will not work. I can move the cursor around with a right-hand click but nothing more. Any ideas before I trek to the Apple Store?
