Yes and Paul G was born for his role. Just a nice little movie all around
Yes absolutely. Elizabeth Banks also turned in a solid performance.
I thought the absence of the soundtrack we might have expected was brilliant. The montages mimicking what was going on in Wilson's head were amazing.
I haven't seen it yet, but I will brag that I went to elementary school and was friends with one of the writers.
Looking forward to seeing this. I still remember being blown away by the accounts of his struggles -- not to mention by the songs, including "Love and Mercy" -- when the album heralding his reemergence came out in 1988.

Just you wait until "Ant-Man" comes out next month.
Not sure it's a movie that's going to grab you if you come into the Brian Wilson story cold. But if his life and work are a theremin running through your musical consciousness, the studio scenes during the "Pet Sounds" sessions may be as joyous as anything you've seen and heard onscreen in a long time.

Saw it tonight. Loved it. Really well done. For once I completely agree with the reviews. Paul Dano was excellent as usual. I wasn't so sure about John Cusack until the post-credits, then I saw that he nailed it.
