I'm sorry to hear, will keep a look out for sure for her, hopefully she finds her way back home sooner than later
I saw it on FB and shared. It was also posted on SOMA for Animals on FB Keeping an eye out.
If anyone wants to help find Mabel, taking your own dog on a walk anywhere in the Montose section of south orange on both sides of Centre Street and calling her name would be wonderful. If you do go, bring a treat with you and if you see her crouch down and offer her a treat trying to grab her collar. If found, out address is on her collar or call 646-528-4568. Please call even if you just see her. Thank you!
If you haven't already, you should notify local police departments, veterinarians, and animal shelters that the dog is still missing. Anyone finding the dog is likely to contact one or more of these sources to try and locate the owner. Making up flyers and passing them out to neighbors, putting up flyers in the neighborhood, etc. can also help.
Did you post on Nextdoor.com? They reach neighborhoods outside South ORange-Maplewood.
We’ve posted on soma lounge and NextDoor. Also have contacted all shelters, our vet and listed her on a site that contacts all shelters in the area. She is wearing a tag that has our address and phone number so if someone kind found her she would be home. If she’s still ok, she is probably hiding.
Mabel came home this morning!!! Her family posted on the Dogs of SOMA page on Facebook, and the post also appears on Nextdoor. YAY!!!
MABEL IS HOME! She arrived on our doorstep at 5am, safe and sound. We don’t know if someone dropped her off or if she found her way back but are thrilled beyond words to have her home. Thx to everyone for their support! ❣️

Please help - our dog got out of our yard and is missing. We are in the montrose section of south orange and she may have been seen on center street near Seton Hall. She’s about 35 pounds and her name is Mabel. If you are seeing this please look around your home and yard. She is probably scared and hiding. She will likely bark at strangers but it is out of fear not aggression. Using her name may help. Also, feel free to post her picture anywhere that may reach people in the area. Thank you. If found please call 646-528-4568.
