Looking for experienced Ford mechanic for tricky vacuum leak

I am trying to get a vacuum leak fixed in the ignition system of an old 2003 Mercury station wagon.  We love this car and it's gone beyond the capabilities of my trusted local mechanic.  we replaced hoses, MAF sensor, just cannot find the leak, -- system running too lean and will not pass inspection.  Need somebody with a smoke machine and good diagnostic skills to find out what is going on.  Any referrals greatly appreciated!

did he check for codes? Try spraying some carburetor cleaner around the intake manifolds with the engine running. The engine will rev up when it sucks in the carburetor cleaner. Did he check the hose to the brake booster? You need a smoke machine if all else fails. Amazon sells various brands for just over $100. Comes with everything you need to do the smoke test.
