Lakeside Village

I am looking to buy an apartment in Lakeside Village, on Lakeside Drive off Main Street,in Millburn. Ideal would be a 2 bedroom (1 bedroom plus den) with a river view. But we would consider a 2 bedroom without a view, or a 1 bedroom with a river view. We love the complex and are ready to pay a competitive price. We want to move to Millburn to be near family.

Please call me at 917-428-4462.

Thank you so much!

Apartments that size are very rare in Lakeside Village.  Only 8 two bedrooms have come on the market in the past 20 years.   No two bedrooms have come on the market since 2012.   Are you working with a realtor ?   If you can find something on your own great - but connecting with a realtor would help too.

Would you consider any other options ?    There is a lovely condo complex nearby in Springfield called Troy Village.   Troy Village has a beautiful setting, a lovely neighborly community feeling, nice apartments and a pool.   There is one 2nd floor two bedroom that is on the market now ( it could use some updating)  but there will be more as the market progresses into spring.

Even though Lakeside is in Millburn, I like Troy Village better.  Just my own personal opinion.

I have been told that some of the units in Lakeside are in a flood zone .  I have not confirmed this - but you should check it out.

If you have a relationship with a realtor - great, I am sure you are in good hands.   If you prefer to go it on your own, that's fine too.   If you are not currently working with a realtor and would like to do so I am a realtor and would be happy to help - just PM me.   Good luck.

I used to live at Lakeside Village (1 BR) and some of the units closer to the downstream side can get some water near them but only when a storm like Sandy or Irene blows through - my basement storage area was flooded after Irene. I had seen a 2BR for sale recently for about $320K if I recall but I no longer see it listed (this was on Weichert's site). I loved living there and was only renting but you can probably get a better deal at Troy like Sarahzm sated.

Nothing to suggest specifically to the OP except to say that you won't get better or more honest advice than from sarahzm who I know in real life (but we're not friends who hang out per se) and when/if I sell will more than likely use as my agent. If you read her response to you carefully you will see why I've said what I just did. Good luck in your search.

I have cousins who live in Troy Village.  Mived there after they sold a house in SH. They are happy.  Only issue they have mentioned is that the board is dominated by an old guard and is ingrown.

Troy isn't an option for me since it's not near a town center or a train.

Thanks for all the advice though, much appreciated!
