Household hint of the day.... (You're welcome).

Hint: Don't rub your eyes when you have cayenne powder on your fingers.

Seeing as I practically consider mayonnaise edgy this advice is lost on me…

Or scratch your nether regions, either.

I'm not clear on that. Can you elaborate?

Well… eating too much cayenne pepper will burn both your mouth and your nether regions…don’t even think about eating ghost peppers…

I laughed and nodded in agreement when I saw a PSA from my home state of Texas early in the Covid pandemic that said something like "Wash your hands as if you had just been cutting up a Jalapeno pepper and are about to put in your contacts."

Let's just say you don't want to transfer cayenne pepper or other hot/spicy material to areas you might only scratch in private.

I'll give you another similar household hint: Don't take a shower right after cutting up a long hot pepper that you assumed to be mild (because most of them are) without scrubbing your hands first. It was like being pepper sprayed. I coughed for an hour.

Yes, Texans learn this at a very early age.
