I have been told that Maplewood will have a cooling center available this year but not at DeHart Community Center since the kids camp is being held there. I would expect an email blast from the town if/when the outdoor temperature/humidity level reaches the point where opening a cooling center becomes necessary. The added concern is whether persons concerned about contracting the virus through being indoors in close proximity to others will be willing to go there.
HEAT ADVISORY Sun July 19 and Monday July 20.

The last few days, it was worth opening windows early in the morning because the air was pretty cool and worth taking in to cool the house down and forestall use of the AC. Not so this morning. Dead warm air air from the get go. I'm hoping this is the worst day. July, I hate thee.
I will think of days like this in the middle of winter when I am shoveling snow in a blizzard.
